“I purchased Martis Speed Racer when he was a yearling. We planned on using him as a futurity barrel horse racer. He was on his way to being a good barrel runner at the age of four, when we found out he had a chip in his shoulder that could not be repaired. He was such a good boy with a great personality and calmness that we decided to keep him and use him for breeding. He has produced many nice babies that have proven themselves on the racetrack and in the barrel racing world. A couple of years ago, one of his offspring sold for $60k. We are very happy he is standing at a place that will let him continue to prove himself as a great stallion.”
