Our stallion, “Sam” Fax Mr Sammy, is line bred Goodbye Sam. Goodbye Sam was an AQHA Supreme Champion.
AQHA explains what it takes to be a Supreme Champion, “Only 52 of nearly 6 million American Quarter Horses have ever achieved AQHA Open Supreme Champion honors, making it AQHA’s rarest achievement. To be named an Open Supreme Champion, a Quarter Horse must first prove himself on the racetrack, in the halter pen, earn points in cattle classes and more points in the show ring.”
His owner, Pat Patterson, said the following, “Sam was a wonderful horse; he was so versatile you could do anything on him. His disposition was great; you could put little kids on him and he would take care of them, or you could turn him in a pasture with mares and he wouldn’t bother them until they were ready to breed.”
Goodbye Sam proved himself a sire with a get of money earners. An own son Jody Fairfax was the first horse in NCHA (National Cutting Horse Association) history to earn $65,000 in one year. He was the NCHA Reserve Champion in 1982.
