As a 2 day old colt, Vaquero got into some wire. He got stitched on and doctored for months. When we started him, he rode really well but his legs started stocking up so we quit. He grew into an outstanding specimen. He is thick and powerful, but moves easy and is catty and quick. His dam is an Elite top 10 mare. She has produced many exceptional foals. They have been top of the pile performers, but she also puts such a good mind on her get. They are trainable, have great attitudes and so much ability. She is a full sister to Sarah Kieckhefer’s good barrel horse, Stingray. Vaquero’s sire was a good producing son of War Concho Drifter. His colts are trainable and have lots of ability. We are excited for Vaquero colts to go to work. He stands at 15 hands.
