Moxie was one of the first foals born after we moved to Nevada in 2018. She was also in the first crop of babies we had sired by Louisiana. She ran the mountain as a yearling and 2-year-old and is sure-footed. Moxie has been around cows, pigs, chickens, and dogs. She is gentle and good to handle. Moxie has a quiet slightly lazy disposition but also has a very large motor with a ton of athletic ability and a big stop. She has been ranched on in all weather conditions, branded calves, gathered cows in big country, and has started being patterned in the arena. Moxie would make a very cool breakaway, switch-ender, barrel horse.
Moxie is sired by Louisiana Fuel who throws ample talent, speed, brains, and looks. His grandsire, Oklahoma Fuel, sired Oklahoma Top Hat who was PRCA head horse of the year not once, or twice, but 6 times! You can read more about Louisiana under ‘OUR HORSES’ reference stallions.
She is very well-bred and could make some nice babies as well. She was born buckskin and turned grey (for those that care about color genes).
