Jarad LaMarsh, of Nyssa, Oregon, didn’t grow up in the cowboy culture of ranching and roping. But at the age of 24 when he decided he wanted to learn to ride and rope, he did it. Jarad purchased a bay yearling filly “Sox” LMP April Wood, from us in 2012. The first roping he took her to, they won money. “Sox is really smart. She’s got a good mind. She’s got speed, size, everything you could want in a rope horse.” Jarad and his head mare, Sox, are pictured winning the #8 World Series Qualifier in Homedale, Idaho, and are headed to Las Vegas. Jarad says, “It’s been fun and with a horse like Sox it just makes it that much more fun.” We wish them the best of luck at the WSTR this week!
